April update from STP/Cooper Project

  • We have onboarded 10 tech startups to our Cooper Projects over the last 2 months. It’s great to see the increasing number of new tech/digital startups in the region.
  • We have partnered with TeamSY to host a women entrepreneur workshop. The first workshop was on the 4th and was very successful with 9 attendees. The next one will be on the 20th, please feel free to share with anyone you know who might be interested (there are still 5 spaces left and the deadline for applications: Monday 17th April)
  • We hosted the sales training on March 16th (again in partnership with TeamSY), and we had a great turnout with 23 attendees. This indicates that many businesses and startups are interested in learning about sales, or it may indicate a skills gap in many businesses.
  • We are working with Sheffield College to help students develop their business ideas through their start-up program by hosting a pitching session in the summer. We are also working with the High Skills, High Growth Team from Sheffield College to help create placement opportunities for students in the workplace.
